Wipro is set to prioritize salary increases for employees with lower salaries in the upcoming December round of revisions, according to Bandaru. However, top performers with higher compensation may not see raises in this cycle. This decision comes amid challenges such as reduced client spending and intense competition in Wipro's largest business line.
Nagendra Bandaru, the managing partner and president of the "Enterprise Futuring" business line, communicated the company's selective approach to merit salary increases (MSI) based on business affordability in an email to employees.
The organizational restructuring in April resulted in the establishment of four new global business lines at Wipro, including "Enterprise Futuring" based in Bengaluru. Raises for eligible employees are scheduled for December 1.
