Job Description

At PwC, a career in our Merger and Acquisition Tax practice within Tax services presents an opportunity to assist clients in fulfilling their tax obligations across various tax specialties. In this role, you'll provide advice on local and international tax matters, serving as a strategic consultant in business analysis, indirect tax management, dispute resolution, and global enterprise tax solutions.

As part of our team, you'll aid clients in different aspects of merger and acquisition transactions, including restructuring, divestitures, partnerships, and insolvency. Your focus will be on helping clients establish treasury goals, evaluating and quantifying tax assets, assessing tax risks, and modeling the impact on taxable income and cash flow.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Assisting the team in extracting relevant case laws as needed.
  • Coordinating with lawyers and external consultants to support the team.
  • Conducting research to gather pertinent financial information and preparing presentations for potential clients.
  • Regularly following up with team leaders to coordinate with debtors.
  • Preparing memos, advisories, and general communications related to tax office and court matters.
  • Supporting the team with compliance and risk management tasks.

Requirements

  • A graduate in Commerce or a relevant field with 0-2 years of relevant experience.
  • Basic knowledge of Tax & Accounts.
  • Other essential skills include:
    • Demonstrating proactive and critical thinking.
    • Maintaining a meticulous and dedicated attitude.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Strong interpersonal skills.
    • Proficiency in MS Office.
